In the best tradition of “Squirrel in a Fridge” comes the annual Year 11 class composition– our introduction to song-writing.
“Cheese is Good”
The task was to make some decisions about a few of the Elements of Music and then take only 12 minutes to create a class masterpiece .
This piece was based on:
Context: a song about cheese being good
Tonality: A minor
Style: Metal
Harmony: Am, Dm E
Not sure how “metal” the end result was, but after 12 minutes this is what the class produced.

As part of your preparation for your aural exams, you should be practising your intervals (hum them, name them by singing them). Use Auralia in the computer suite to help you or quiz each other.
